Job Description A bank in Scarborough is looking for an Operational Analyst for a 3 month contract. The main function of an Operations Analyst is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The Operations Analyst usually reports to a project manager or director. Job Responsibilities: • Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization. • Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics. • Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements. • Set up project and work breakdown structures. • Establish and document business processes. • Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets. • Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions. This resource is required primarily for a cleanup, data entry job. The manager requires someone who is independent, has the ability to take instructions and doesn’t need much guidance as it is fairly straight forward work. ( Person no longer works for department A as he has been transferred, Department B set up access which department A should have removed, so person has more access than they require (could have transferred or left the bank). They have already identified which employees and access needs to be removed but need additional help, very little analytics involved. This resource will be supporting an in house application called officer profile (will be trained on it). At this point, there isn’t a possibility of extension but it would depend on the work.
Job Requirements Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. • Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus. Must Have Skills: 1) Disciplined, detail oriented and mature 2) Microsoft Office (Outlook, excel etc.) –intermediate PC skills 3) Previous data entry experience is a must 4) Nice to have: Service now knowledge/experience, dealing with confidential Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
