Job Description A bank in Toronto is seeking a Junior Developer Contractor (6 months). One day a week In Scar, and 4 days a week Downtown. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Security in Global Information Security Change & Release Management department. The Junior Developer supports the design and assists in development of innovative security architectures for protecting data, cryptographic components deployed into different types of cloud and hybrid systems. The Junior Software Developer is involved in all areas of development from design to development to testing. We are looking for eager and dynamic people who crave challenges and are looking to expand their knowledge amongst a fast paced, talented development team. *Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Job Requirements Must have skills: • Application / backend / micro-services development experience in one or more of the following languages – Java, Ruby, Go, Python, C#, C/C++ • Environment Management or Infrastructure Automation using in one or more of the scripting languages - Bash, Perl, PowerShell etc. Nice to have skills: • Experience with Spring Boot • Front-end / web development experience – HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap, jQuery or more advanced frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue • Security / cryptography expertise • Experience with Public Cloud providers – Azure, GCP, AWS • Unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD) • Experience with Confluence and Jira • Experience in CICD using Jenkins and other tools • Experience with REST APIs • Designing / developing High Availability solutions • Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry / Cloud Foundry Educational requirements • University degree in Computer Science or related field Must Have Skills: 1) Bash, Java, Ruby and Python 2) Comfortable to grow in both front and back end development 3) 1-2 years (Fresh Grads encouraged) 4) Good Communication skills 5) Willing to converting to FTE Degrees or certifications: • Bachelor's degree or Post-Secondary education-
