A bank In Downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Business System Analyst for a 3 month contract to begin and then Renewable. They should have experience across financial products (derivatives, fixed income, etc.) as well as strong, working knowledge of trading, algorithms, Risk Watch, and Risk Warehouse. They will be supporting the Initial Margin program (completion 2019).
• Wide exposure across different Capital Markets products as well as opportunity to participate in migration into Cloud & Big Data.
Typical Day in Role
• Liase between business clients, and internal and external IT departments for the purpose of gathering business requirements, and the creation of design or redesign and operation documents
• Provide business support to the various client teams by assisting with the design and implementation of new projects and system enhancements. This may involve rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis to provide interim designs until a permanent production solution can be defined
• Participate in the system implementation process by developing and documenting test cases, performing integration testing, raising defects and providing end-user documentation
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

| Job Requirements |
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Systems & process knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & Project Management (5+ years experience)
2) Open Technology development (5+ years experience with concepts & trend)
3) Agile (5+ years experience with development model and relevant Agile development practice, i.e., Automated Testing)
4) Capital Markets (5+ years’ experience - must be recent, preferably in Risk Management)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Regulatory, reporting, or financial risk projects
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, along with minimum 5 years of practical experience
