Job Description A bank in Scarborough is looking for a Network Support Analyst. The Network Support Analyst will serve as a direct resource assigned to execute upon the ongoing operation and upkeep of the bank's network environments through the execution of incident resolution, operational support, and maintenance to meet the customer's service level expectations, and to support the team as required. 24/7 Rotational shift (6 am- 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm, 10 pm- 6 am and Weekends) Flexibility required Contract Duration: 07/30/2018 to 10/31/2018 (Possibility of extension or convert to full time) Job Responsibilities: • Level 2 Network Support • Accept support calls from 1st level support teams on IP Network related problems; • Accept problem call reports from bank's 3rd level support team on IP Network related problems; • Perform 2nd level troubleshooting and problem resolution activities as defined in the PRPs. • Perform the on-site investigation and take corrective action (i.e down/up) on network devices in the bank's locations as required. • Other related activities as prescribed by the Global Networks management team. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required • 0-2 years’ experience required • Network/systems administration/related work experience required • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification a plus • Knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage • Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software
Job Requirements The manager is looking for an eager, entry level network analyst who is willing to do shift work (weekends, Days/ Evenings). This person should have knowledge of cisco routing and switching protocols. Preference will be given to CCIE over CCNP or equivalent knowledge. Schools like Waterloo/ U of T will be preferred or well-known post-secondary school. Please refrain from submitting senior candidates as this is a junior position. They will be getting tickets, alerts, help desk escalation, troubleshooting, network issues, talking to vendors (this is not a help desk position, but can talk to end users). The platform is Cisco. Communication skills are very important Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 1) 1-2 years of overall experience (open to fresh Grads- Network Knowledge/Certification is key) 2) Cisco professional certification (CCIE or CCNP) or equivalent knowledge or experience 3) Know cisco routing and switching protocols 4) Excellent Communication skills (will be on conference bridge with over 50 people at a time) 5) Nice to have: : Cisco wifi, programming languages- vba, python, familiar with firewall, load balance Degrees or certifications: • Bachelor's degree or Post-Secondary education- CCIE Preferred or CCNP
