Job Description A consulting firm based in Toronto, (Parent company is in Munich). Seeking Junior and Senior Candidates with the following (minimum) requirements focusing on insurance accounting system implementation/integration skills Required Skills: • Insurance or Reinsurance corporate and/or technical accounting experience for a minimum of 3 years (juniors welcome) • Prior experience (3+ years) as an insurance/reinsurance project manager, consultant and or team member, that resulted in the implementation of an insurance/reinsurance system solution that included corporate and/or technical accounting functionality or integration with said functionality • Prior roles that required the candidate to prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external resources, concepts related to insurance/reinsurance corporate/technical accounting • Prior roles that required communications between business and IT resources • Prior roles that required the candidate perform analytical tasks, design new/amended technical/procedural/organizational solutions and verification of implemented solutions • Willingness to travel within Canada and the United States • Canadian citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident • Demonstrated excellent communication skills Role Descriptions: • Actuarial valuation – creation and consolidation of future cash flows, experience with discounting cash flow over the passage of time, experience with applying risk adjustments on selected insurance portfolios. We do not anticipate an actuarial degree, but experience in dealing with the requirements. • Financial and regulatory reporting – experience with data flow, data de- and aggregation, fulfillment of regulatory requirements, specially Solvency 2 or comparable risk oriented valuations • Functional architects – encompassing full end to end processing of insurance data, processes and systems to determine how requirements are introduced cost effectively.
Job Requirements • Methodological/project management certifications PMP, SAFe etc. • Insurance certifications CPCU etc. • Prior implementation/configuration experience with SAS, SAP, Tagetik, Aptitude, GGY AXIS • Understanding of IFRS17 standard for Insurance/Reinsurance companies • Prior employment with recognized consulting companies • Willingness to learn new software platforms
