bank in Scarborough (Business Payments team) is seeking 4 Technical Support Analysts to support a large infrastructure migration project. This is a large-scale and long-term project providing Level 1 Technical Support to bank customers. These Technical Support Analysts will be responsible for answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients via telephone. Should be a year, however will start off with 5 month contract.

Typical Day in Role
• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity
• May install software or perform hardware testing remotely
• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support
• Will be required to directly communicate with bank customers.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software

Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) Technical Support (2 years experience providing Level 1 technical support over the phone & email)
2) Windows OS (2 years experience providing technical support on Windows operating systems)
3) Customer Service (2+ years providing excellent customer service to end-users)
4) Basic Networking Protocols (Any experience with sFTP, FTP, VPN, AS2 connectivity)
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Overall 1-2 years experience in a Technical Support capacity
***This is a multiple hiring initiative with the intention to start all 4 Technical Analysts at the same time. There is a designated Trainer to conduct a training program with these new hires***
