A Bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Java developer for 3 to 4 months to begin contract and then renewable, The Rick Technology Operations team is seeking a Jira Confluence Developer to support ad-hoc projects and day-to-day operations. This Developer should be experienced with Jira and Confluence plug-in development and Atlassian framework.
Typical Day in Role
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area

• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) Jira & Confluence (1-2 years experience with Jira and Confluence plug-in development)
2) Java (3+ years experience with Java development)
3) Javascript (3+ years experience)
4) Development Frameworks: RESTful, Spring, Ajax, Hibernate, J2EE, JSF, JSON (3+ years experience)
5) Atlassian SDK (1-2 years experience)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- FI/Banking industry experience
- Apache Tomcat
- Apache HTTP server
- Velocity templates
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Overall 3+ as a Java Developer/Programmer
