Job Description A bank in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a 6 month Contract (Renewable) . The Strategy & Delivery Management are seeking a Subject Matter Expert in HR SAP Systems who is proficient in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Fieldglass (Vendor management System) and/or Role Based Permissioning. The Subject Matter Expert must work under tight deadlines, conflicting priorities and changing project requirements and be able to react quickly to resolve problems and work overtime on occasion to meet deadlines and to implement systems with minimal impact to the end users. The Subject Matter Expert will also have the opportunity to transition into a full-time employee. Job Summary: The Subject Matter Expert, under general direction, is responsible for the resolution of complex business problems for the assigned Lines of Business. They will formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements for the assigned Lines of Business. The SME will also devise or modifies procedures to solve complex. Includes analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements and translating them into proper systems requirement specifications. Typical Day in Role: • Lead conversation with business users and provide guidance on configuration and best practices • Be able to configure Role Based Permission (RBP) over multiple SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Recruiting Management, Onboarding, etc.) and/or Fieldglass VMS. • Request transport movement and unit test changes and work with existing team to understand and document impact of changes and new requirements • Work with current team and understand impact of configuration and document new requirements • Participate in the accurate creation of configuration workbooks • Participate and understand in all types of test phases (Functionality Testing and UAT) • Conduct demo to explain current configuration of permission setup for each iteration covered during testing or review processes • Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of the assigned Lines of Business, by applying their financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This may involve rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis that provides interim deliverables until a final production solution is created. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, and liaising with the users. • Manage multiple small projects and/or lead specific sections of large projects to implement solutions to business problems. This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management. • Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support. • Provide business support to all units Globally, including new and existing product and deal structuring, ad hoc queries and MIS, user training, and assisting with the design and implementation of systems enhancements. This is made more challenging due to differences in time zones and the variation in the business lines. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that management is kept informed and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately. • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.
Job Requirements Must Have Skills: • 5+ years combined SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central experience • Fieldglass experience /certification required • Full lifecycle experience on Employee Central implementation • Experience as Lead on large scale SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects • Certified in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is a must • Experience managing small projects (?100 workdays) and managing and/or participating in specific sections or large projects (? 500 workdays), with budgets of approximately $500,000. • Experience with systems developed on-line real time, mission critical applications to support the trading and risk management operations where the consequence of implementing functionally based on inaccurate requirements could expose the Bank to significant losses or undue risk. • Working knowledge of HR business process. • Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint. • Advanced knowledge of financial instruments, including market conventions and valuation methods, risk management methodologies and models including best practices, current and anticipated regulatory requirements, Back Office processes and the end-to-end workflows among the Front, Middle and Back Offices within at least one financial market area (e.g. foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives) and a very good knowledge of at least one other financial market area. • Possess a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real time analytical and formal modelling tools and keep current with rapidly changing technology. Soft Skills: • Creative, self-starting, results oriented and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills in order to apply this knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems. • Proven interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both users and senior management. • Good time management and organizational skills, will allow the incumbent to effectively manage small projects while planning and scheduling resources within those projects to optimize productivity. Nice to Have Skills: • Proficiency in Spanish is desired.
