A bank in Scarborough is seeking a Technical Support Resource for a 1 year contract Renewable or FTE??, Employee IT Advanced Support is seeking Technical Support to provide steady deskside support to the Toronto Contract Centre. The Technical Support will be providing deskside support for Level 1 and Level 2 tickets.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity for growth while working in fun and supportive team.
Typical Day in Role
• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity
• May install software or perform hardware testing remotely
• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) Overall technical support experience – 3+ years
2) Hands on experience with hardware/software of PCs (preferably Lenovo, Active Directory, Windows 8 OS) – dealing with issues such as part replacement, reaching out to 3rd party vendors, application erroring out, windows shutdown, engaging other support groups – 3+ years
3) A+ Certified
4) Strong communication skills (verbal & written), strong time management skills (multi-tasking), and ability to work under pressure
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience with IBM, AS400 (legacy financial applications)
- Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow *
- Experience at a call center or Bank/FI
- Experience with Office 365
- MCSE Certification *
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

- Requirements and must haves that have * -candidates with that experience will get preference; Looking for someone who can commit to companies – able to stay with them for at least a year
