Job Description	A bank in Scarborough is seeking a Technical Analyst for a 6 month contract plus extension. The IB Mobile & Online Modernization group’s mandate is to integrate the newest and latest technologies to the many legacy programs within enterprise. This fun team helps migrate legacy programs to the Cloud while utilizing REST API’s built using a microservice architecture. • Project: Developing modern REST API’s that will be deployed into the cloud using a microservice architecture This group modernizes the legacy systems in the bank with the latest cloud technologies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to see their work transform the banks environment. Typical Day in Role: • Gather requirements, design, configure and create specifications for REST APIs • Analyze legacy systems • Create interface mapping between the microservices and the legacy system • Communicate requirements for the REST APIs to the team • Coordinate testing and validation with business users
Job Requirements	Must Have Skills: 1. 3 - 5 years’ experience designing and gathering requirements for Web Services (Specifically RESTful APIs) 2. Familiarity designing APIs with SWAGGER 3. Excellent communication skills – able to work with different departments to gather necessary technical requirements to create and design specifications 4. Ability to work individually and in a team environment Nice to have skills: - Experience designing Microservices - Experience with Agile Scrum - Previous Financial Sector experience Degrees or certifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred The hiring manager is really looking for a technical BA who has worked on modernizing legacy systems and is enthusiastic to learn and engage in new environments
