Job Description A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Business System Analyst for a 3 month contract) Renewable. Digital Client Services is seeking an experienced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Business System Analyst to be part of a project that is currently in its initial phases, but requires someone to join and hit the ground running. This project will be more focused on the development of a specific feature that will optimize and make the process for handling forms, documents and packages coming in from customers more efficient. This will be integrated into the rest of the on-boarding services platform. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for long-term growth and play a part in defining the road map for this project as it is completely in-house built. They will also get to gain hands on experience with Pega, while working closely with experienced colleagues. Typical Day in Role • Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies • Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities • Supports one or more highly complex business processes • Works on multiple projects as a project team member • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Job Requirements Must Have Skills: 1) Open to covert to FTE down the line 2) Overall BSA experience – 7+ years overall experience 3) Experience working with OCR (Optical care recognition) or Captiva applications– 3+ years of experience (flexible with amount of years) 4) Agile experience (need to be familiar with agile delivery model for SDLC)– 3+ years of experience 5) Strong communication skills – will be speaking with Stakeholders, Business Partners, Operation Teams, Developers (translating conversations into requirements) 6) Being able to work in a matrix organization and work with competing priorities, will be working with multiple Additional Notes - Communication is extremely important (will they be a good fit for the team, culture, environment) - Manager wants to get to know the candidates during the interviews - Want the resume to show how exactly they used the required technologies and skills and how it contributed to the outcome of the project– it must be hands on - Experience must be relevant and recent (within the past 5 years) - Want someone energetic and ready to move quickly - Need candidates to start immediately or 2 weeks’ notice max Nice-To-Have Skills: - Experience in FI - Experience building On-boarding and services application - Familiar with mail room operations & document management process - Prior Bank's experience - Coding experience (preferably C#, Java or Pega) - Configuring or optimizing Captiva applications - Jira & confluence Degrees or certifications: • Bachelor's degree
