Job Description A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Business System Analyst for a 3 month contract and will go full-time. The Digital Client Services is seeking a Pega Business System Analyst to assist with a crucial long-term project related to bank’s Wealth Rapid Labs. The Pega BSA will be supporting the development of new features as well as maintaining the current features. They must be comfortable working within an existing framework platform and rapid environment, while utilizing their analytical skills to ensure there is long-term sustainability for the application. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for long-term growth and play a part in defining the road map for this project as it is completely in-house built. They will also get to gain hands on experience with Pega, while working closely with experienced colleagues. Typical Day in Role • Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies • Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities • Supports one or more highly complex business processes • Works on multiple projects as a project team member • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Job Requirements Must Have Skills: 1) Open to covert to FTE down the line 2) Overall BSA experience – 5+ years overall experience 3) Pega Systems or other business process management systems (BPM) (able to handle service requests, etc)– 3+ years of hands on experience 4) Agile experience (need to be familiar with agile delivery model for SDLC)– 3+ years of experience 5) Strong communication skills – will be speaking with Stakeholders, Business Partners, Operation Teams, Developers (translating conversations into requirements) 6) Being able to work in a matrix organization and work with competing priorities, will be working with multiple Communication is extremely important (will they be a good fit for the team, culture, environment) - Manager wants to get to know the candidates during the interviews - Want the resume to show how exactly they used the required technologies and skills and how it contributed to the outcome of the project– it must be hands on - Experience must be relevant and recent (within the past 5 years) - Looking for someone that is intermediate to senior (not junior) Nice-To-Have Skills: - Experience in FI - Experience building On-boarding and services application - Prior Bank's experience - Coding experience (preferably with Java or Pega) - Jira & confluence Degrees or certifications: • Bachelor's degree
