Job Description |
A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Business System Analyst for a 5 month project. The Global Risk Technology (GRT) group within the bank manages the regulatory reporting for the Toronto, New York and London Stock Markets.
• Project: This contractor will be working on a new set of CDIC reports. Working alongside treasury colleagues to finalize requirements, the successful incumbent will be mapping data and validating reports for an anticipated time of up to two years.
• The successful candidate will join a high-profile project within the group treasury and technology department that will leverage the banks newest technology.
Typical Day in Role
• Mapping and validating reports that will be translated within the Capital Markets Regulatory group
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) 8 + years Business Analysts experience, minimum 2 years within Capital Markets Risk or Regulation
2) Excellent Excel skills for data mapping – minimum 8 years’ experience
3) Strong understanding of SQL or Tableau
4) Excellent communication skills, able to translate requirements to business users clearly and concisely
Additional Notes
• Recent Capital Markets experience within Risk and Regulations will be prioritized, The Focus will be on last 4-5 projects and fit within that environment
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Certification is a plus
