A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking an Analyst/Developer for a 6 month contract. The Risk Management group monitors product controls and provides guidelines for traders daily. These guidelines are based on P&L data and are presented in reports.
• Project: TenX Actual & Risk-based Data Integration Solution (“TARDIS”) platform is used to store Actual P&L as well as to calculate Position P&L using source data containing carry, cash flow, new trades, sensitivities, market data and derived market data. There is an ETL component to the project, a User Interface where users verify the PnL numbers and certify the data and then there is also a reporting component where different types of reports are created which are consumed by different business groups.
Typical Day in Role
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
• The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver. They will be evaluating how to approach codes and errors within them. The logical reasoning behind the code is key to success in this role
