Job Description A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking a QA/Data Tester for a 3 month contract (possibility of extension or Go FTE)... The AMLO-Application Development is seeking a QA/Data Tester to assist with an AML Regulatory & Compliance Project. They will be required to work with and test backend databases. The project is projected to run for at least a year. • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain FI/Banking transferable skills while getting exposure to AML. They will also have other opportunities for growth and the potential to convert to FTE down the line. Typical Day in Role • Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation • Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers • Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes • Create or maintain databases of known test defects • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Job Requirements Must Have Skills: 1) QA/Data Tester – 5+ years of experience 2) Experience using PL/SQL & SQL queries – 3+ years of hands on experience 3) Data-Warehousing (ETL/BI) – 3+ years of hands on experience 4) Very strong End to End, Backend/Database, User Interface (UI) & Data Migration testing experience – 3+ years of hands on experience 5) Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports – 3+ years of experience hands of experience 6) Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing – 3+ years of hands on experience 7) Strong communication skills (verbal & written – will be documenting test cases) Nice-To-Have Skills: - FI/Banking experience - AML experience (regulatory and compliance) Degrees or certifications: • Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required - Experience must be hands on and recent - Experience with the Big 5 Banks is preferred
